Location

Camp Elephant Brooks is located in Rattapani (on Neelkanth temple road) by the river Heval, a tributary of Ganga. Vehicles can be parked near the wooden bridge by the river. It’s hardly 2 minutes walk from the bridge. Overlooking delightful Shivalik ranges and mountain stream, Camp Elephant Brooks is situated amongst the best camping areas encompassed by forest and beautiful mountains. For the individuals who wish to enjoy adventure activities or the individuals who wish to appreciate the quiet environment and natural air, Camp ELephant Brooks is an ideal gateway to revive your faculties and relax up your body, brain, and soul.

Accommodation

  • We have 10 luxury tents with attached washrooms. All the 10 tents can accommodate 4 people comfortably. 
  • We have another 5 luxury tents with attached washrooms. These 5 tents can accommodate 6 people each comfortably.
  • All the 15 tents are equipped with air coolers, proper lights, and electrical charging points.
  • Keeping in mind the relaxation of our customers, there are various sitting and relaxing points at the camp. At our open ground area, Peacocks & Himalayan birds can be frequently seen at dusk & dawn while you are relaxing and sharing your stories with your friends.
  • Plenty of open spaces at the campground ensure that you get ample opportunities to connect with nature.
  • Keeping in mind the relaxation of our customers, there are various sitting and relaxing points at both upper and ground level. At our porch, Peacocks & Himalayan birds can be frequently seen at dusk & dawn while you are relaxing and sharing your stories with your friends.

  • ACCESS TO RIVER HEVAL
  • Camp Elephant Brooks is located nearby Heval, a mountain stream. We have made a man made pool inside the river where our guests can swim and enjoy the flowing water. A dip in the river overlooking Shivalik Ranges is the best thing to beat the heat in the afternoons. Our pool is just perfect for you to enjoy with your family and friends. With A depth of 2-3 ft, the river is ideal for a swim or fun, even if you do not know how to swim.

So at the camp, campfires are a part of culture and we ensure that our guests sit outdoors around the campfire, chit chat and connect with the people and place. What to Pack

Packing

  • What you need to bring will vary according to the trip style you have chosen, the places you are visiting and when you are traveling. Generally speaking, we recommend you pack as lightly as possible and make sure that you are able to carry and lift your own luggage, and walk with it for short distances or up or down a flight of stairs. Our travelers usually find the smaller their luggage is, the more they enjoy the trip without having to worry about carrying heavy bags! Aim to keep your main luggage under 15kg.
  • You’ll also need a day pack/bag to carry water, camera, swimming suit, hiking shoes and jacket etc. when you’re exploring during the day.

List of things to be carried:

  • Basic comfortable clothing like shorts, T-shirts, Track-pants, Sweat-shirts, etc.
  • Personnel toiletries and a towel.  
  • One warm sweater and a warm (pref. rain proof) jacket or an umbrella. (rainy season and cool weather).
  • Gloves/mufflers/warm cap may be carried for evenings.(November to February).
  • Comfortable walking/trekking shoes and slippers for lounging at camp and near water areas & for rafting.
  • Water bottle.
  • Torch with an extra pair of batteries (mandatory). 
  • One writing pad and a pen.
  • Caps, binoculars, sunglasses etc. are recommended.
  • One small Backpack / daypack to carry stuff while on short walks.
  • Books on wildlife, plants and birds are helpful for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.
